TI Nspire How to Videos 1


Goal 1: Create and Add a Function that will allow you to add and label points 
​Goal 1A: Enter a function
Steps
  1. Start a new document
  2. Add a Graphs Page
  3. Enter a function in the Graph Entry/Edit Line
Note: if you cannot see the Graph Entry/Edit Line press CTRL g
This should display the function on your DEFAULT graph window
​Goal 1B: Enter a list that you allow you place points on the graph
Steps
  1. Add list page
  2. Name the first column xlist
  3. Name the second column ylist
  4. Enter a list of x values in xlist column
  5. Go to List Edit Entry Box for y list and press enter
  6. Type f1(xlist) or select from VAR list using VAR button and press enter
  7. Go to Graphs page that the function is on
  8. Press MENU
  9. Select 4: Graph Entry/Edit
  10. Select 6: Scatter Plot
  11. Edit x by typing xlist or selecting it from VAR list
  12. Edit y by typing ylist or selecting it from VAR list
This should display the related points on the graph
Goal 2: Getting a Label of a point on a Graph
​Goal 2A: Adding any point on the graph of your function
  1. Add a Graphs Page
  2. Turn f1(x) on
  3. Press Menu
  4. Select 8: Geometry
  5. Select 1: Points and Lines
  6. Select 2: Point On
  7. Place a couple of points on the graph
  8. Hit ESC button to quit adding points
This should have placed random points that you selected on the graph
Note: if you click on the x or y coordinates of the point you should be able to change the value of x or y of the point
​Goal 2B: Adding specific points from a pair of lists on the graph of your function
  1. Add a Graphs Page
  2. Enter your scatter plot  
  3. Press Menu
  4. Select 8: Geometry
  5. Select 1: Points and Lines
  6. Select 2: Point On
  7. Place a couple of points on the scatter plot
  8. Hit ESC button to quit adding points
  9. Switch Graph Entry/Edit back to function
  10. Turn related function on  
This should have placed specific points that you selected on the graph
Note: if you click on the x or y coordinates of the point you should be able to change the value of x or y of the point
