Tutoring Available after school on most days

E-Learning Activities will be distributed through MS Teams, Email, and Remind
As always, you can contact Mr. Hickman through his email at [email protected] or through the Remind App for help or clarification of assignment or content related to assignments.

AP Pre-Calculus students can also get additional mathematics practice through AP Central.  Mr. Hickman has opened progress checks for content for the year, so if you need additional practice or choose to work on related or past materials to shore up skills, just email or send Remind to Mr. Hickman informing him which progress checks, videos, etc. you reviewed to get credit

ABSENT STUDENTS are responsible for missing materials based on a 2 day recovery period for each day missed.  This is a district policy.  I would suggest that prior to, as well as upon returning to class, students that are capable of lessening this time frame by completing assignments while quarantined or absent for other reasons, should do so.  Students should always plan on additional outside of class consultation about the possibility of modification of assignments and additional tutoring to help minimize time to get back on track.

  1. Mr. Hickman also will send Remind notifications that will direct students to solutions, resources, and additional supports
  2. Mr. Hickman also will send email notifications to student's school email address that will direct students to solutions, resources, and additional supports.
  3. For those students that have extended illness, quarantine, or absence in general, MS Teams can be employed as a OUTSIDE of class time resource as well.

Mr. Hickman is VERY available for help after school so if a student is struggling with mathematics in his class, they can seek assistance from him directly

Mr. Hickman will post additional resources, solutions to assignments, and some assessments on this web page.

Mr. Hickman will also post supplementary practice and digital resources on this web page to help enrich and compliment the instruction in class.

Mr. Hickman's summative retakes will be taken after school after students have met criteria specific to the assessment and class student is enrolled in:
  1. Students that fail to make a legitimate attempt on a summative assessment will not be allowed a retake.
  2. Students can only retake summative assessments
  3. Students must complete all related homework.
  4. An additional assignment may be given to ensure mastery of content when warranted.
  5. Students must correct/and or discuss errors with Mr. Hickman from first attempt at summative assessment before any retake will be allowed.
  6. Maximum of three retakes in a semester
  7. No retakes in the last 10 days of the semester
  8. No retakes after the next summative assessment

All students in Peoria Public Schools, District 150 classrooms will:
