  • Sign-up at for an account at Quizizz.com and create a 5 question quiz over topics from the current chapter that could be used in class.  Once completed, share the quiz to [email protected].

  • ​Visit a mathematical website such as Virtual Nerd or Khan Academy. Watch one of the lessons and write paragraph describing what you learned and at least one example of a problem you solved during the lesson.

  • Come up with an original assignment or activity that you think qualifies as being mathematics related, and email or send me a Remind message for approval.  Bonus points for creativity!

Mr. Hickman is VERY available for help after school so if a student is struggling with mathematics in his class, they can seek assistance from him directly

​Mr. Hickman will also post supplementary practice and digital resources on this web page to help enrich and compliment the instruction in class.

Mr. Hickman's summative retakes will be taken after school after students have met the following criteria:
  1. Students that fail to make a legitimate attempt on a summative assessment will not be allowed a retake.
  2. Students can only retake summative assessments
  3. Students must complete all related homework.
  4. An additional assignment may be given to ensure mastery of content when warranted.
  5. Students must correct first attempt at summative assessment.
  6. Student must find and watch a related video that explains concepts covered by the assessment in question.
  7. Students must complete RELEARN form and attach it to reassessment
  8. Minimum of three retakes in a semester
  9. No retakes in the last 10 days of the semester
  10. No retakes after the next summative assessment

All students in Peoria Public Schools, District 150 classrooms will:
