Triangles

Goals: 
  • Be able to recognize and classify a triangle by its sides & angles
  • Be able to determine missing angle measurements related to a triangle
  • Be able to determine the two of the three missing sides of a special right triangle based on the one of the given sides
  • Be able to apply SOHCAHTOA in its many forms to state any rated trigonometric ratio
  • Be able to apply SOHCAHTOA in its many forms to find any missing angle measurements based on sides
  • Be able to apply SOHCAHTOA in its many forms to find any missing side lengths based on an angle and a side length in a right triangle
  • Be able to apply right triangle trigonometry to solve real world problems

Pythagorean Triples

Goals: 
  • Can you recognize a Pythagorean Triple
  • Can yon find missing side lengths based on a family of Pythagorean triples
  • Can you state at least three different Pythagorean Triples that are not similar triangles
  • Do you know the Pythagorean Triple Generator Rules

30/60/90 and 45/45/90 Special Right Triangles

Goals
  • Be able to find all three sides and related angle positions based on the location of one side and one angle of a 30/60/90 right triangle.
  • Be able to find all three sides and related angle positions based on the location of one side and one angle of a 45/45/90 right triangle.
  • Know the special ratios between the sides of a 30/60/90 triangle
  • Know the special ratios between the sides of a 45/45/90 triangle
  • Connect the 45/45/90 right triangle to a square
  • Connect the 30/60/90 right triangle to an equilateral triangle
  • Connect the 30/60/90 right triangle to a regular hexagon
